Colpo di coda alla ERW2020

Ray vs Lorenzo

Lorenzo ha 1115 like e 78 engagement totali.

International: iSurf Mike Buster 2016

1) Federico Morisio 1457
2) Josh Angulo 1379
3) Jason Polakow 1368
4) Robby Naish 1346
5) Sara Houser 1303 prima delle donne

Giardino dei Tarocchi
Giardino dei Tarocchi – Capalbio

iSurf as a form of pop art

Almeno come ambizione.

Niki, come te capisco.

Enjoy your day.

A Silvia

Silvia rimembri ancora
Quel tempo della tua vita mortale,
Quando beltà splendea
Negli occhi tuoi ridenti e fuggitivi,
E tu, lieta e pensosa, il limitare
Di gioventù salivi?
Sonavan le quiete
Stanze, e le vie d’intorno,
Al tuo perpetuo canto,
Allor che all’opre femminili intenta
Sedevi, assai contenta
Quel ch’io sentiva in seno.
Che pensieri soavi,
Che speranze, che cori, o silvia mia!
Quale allor ci apparia
La vita umana e il fato!
Quando sovviemmi di cotanta speme,
Un affetto mi preme
Acerbo e sconsolato,
E tornami a doler di mia sventura.
O natura, o natura,
Perché non rendi poi
Quel che prometti allor? perché di tanto
Inganni i figli tuoi?
Il fior degli anni tuoi;
Non ti molceva il core
La dolce lode or delle negre chiome,
Or degli sguardi innamorati e schivi;
Né teco le compagne ai dì festivi
Ragionavan d’amore.
Anche perìa fra poco
La speranza mia dolce: agli anni miei
Anche negaro i fati
La giovinezza. ahi come,
Come passata sei,
Cara compagna dell’età mia nova,
Mia lacrimata speme!
Questo è il mondo? questi
I diletti, l’amor, l’opre, gli eventi,
Onde cotanto ragionammo insieme?
Questa la sorte delle umane genti?
All’apparir del vero
Tu, misera, cadesti: e con la mano
La fredda morte ed una tomba ignuda
Mostravi di lontano.

Winter 2009 in Fuerte

Fuerteventura

Winter 2009 in Fuerte. Today a few videos from a winter spent in Fuerteventura
First of all we have some fun at the expense of this unkown poor surfer!

Paperissima – surfing version

We then move to Flag Beach, one of the 2 days of wind I got in that month. I was shooting to go to Cabo Verde, but my wife felt unsafe there so we opted for the Canaries which can be good in winter, but only if you get lucky. I didn’t.
The one very good day, this one, Puertito was on – the beautiful outside reef at the NW far end of the island, upwind Cotillo. But they wouldn’t let me take my rental kit there.

Finally we have the fun tale – Italian – of a month spent on Furteventura with a week trip for new year to Lanzarote and a very young family enjoying its time there.

Mauritius Lagoon

Last but not least a Mautitius flyby in the lagoon by Paolo Mazzoni, later that year in summer, winter for MRU.

Maui November 21 2016

Maui November 21 2016. In celebration of my four years since the longest stint I had on Maui for the winter of 2016 here a few videos.

Always with the objective to yielding as little value as possible to Facebook a digitally very incorrect platform, this morning the videos put them directly into a blog post.

Contents

There are several delights:

The cover first, my surf car that now belongs to Colin John Baker

A video from Jaws’ pass, to open your day well.
In fact, today the north wind in Rome are howling!

The entrance with the timing of the waves and the synchronized necessary dive at Honolua Bay. The first time I lost my favorite lycra there, which in the emotion of the moment I had attached to my waist.

A new interview by Federico Morisio while preparing the strategy for the Aloha Classic

Especially for our supper in the editorial team Paolo Cabrina a leg of the Sup long distance race in front Hookipa, this time dribbling the internal buoy and the making it out through mountains of water.

Finally two top hits.

The tutorial with your favorite ocean windsurfing instructor Ferdinando Loffreda on how to survive a crash in front of the rocks.

And finally what happens when you don’t survive it and you end up on the rocks. Intervention by lifeguards to recover an unlucky windsurfer.

Enjoy!

The competition

Progress in the online competition for the most engaging interview realeased on isurf channels by a windsurfer or windsurfing personality

The way engagement is counted:
IG impressions, IGTV plays, IG likes, YouTube Plays > TotalRankings

Rankings
Split by channel
IG Likes
You Tube Views

the Podium

At the moment the Podium, with the new entry Josh Angulo knocking off Robby Naish from second place:

Total
1 – Federico Morisio: 1447
2 – Josh Angulo: 1370
3 – Jason Polakow: 1357
4 – Robby Naish: 1339

Total is very skewed on Instagram: impression and views are somehow double counting as they are related. But I wanted to value the click-through behaviour so I added them both. In this dimension Federico in English is the winner

Likes
1 – Robby Naish: 47
2 – Jason Polakow: 42
3 – Federico Morisio: 38
4 – Josh Angulo: 38

IG likes already show a different story. Robby and Jason here still win the hearts.

YouTube Views
1 – Jason Polakow: 109
2 – Robby Naish: 86
3 – Levi Siver 2: 34
4 – Kai Lenny: 34

The different story becomes more obvious on YouTube that relies mostly on organic traffic as I have not yet grown a large proprietary iSurf costomer base there – only 26 subscribers so far. Jason is the most visually appealing athlete and Robby number 2. Then Levi and fourth.

It takes a couple of days to stabilise IG results: the later posts will show up in the rankings slowly.YouTube can grow forever and we’ll have to give it at least a week since last post to stabilise.Interviews are posted on iSurf YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/user/VideoiSurf/ and IGTV channels
http://www.instagram.com/isurf.it and reposted to
https://www.facebook.com/isurf.it/
Of course it helps Federico’s placement that isurf has an .it extension. But Federico is also very active on social media, and that helps a lot too.

The Prize!

The race is open!

Jason back in action!

Today we have the return to action of a timeless champion.
I have to be honest I didn’t recognise him and I had to ask coach Ferdinando Loffreda who rightly made fun of me.
I couldn’t recognise him even after zooming in the picture because he truly looks 20 years younger.
I want the same vitamins he takes.
The famous vitamin sea!
Jason is known for 2 things.
He never goes below 10 feet hawaiian and always complains that conditions are not up to par. In this, he resembles closely Roman surfers, who, however, have slightly more reasons to complain 😁.

It was Ferdinando himself who shook him off his armchair, promising him that between him and the Schettewi team – there are 3 Schettewis brothers, Max 18, Jake 17 and Zach or simply Z 14 – they would have guaranteed him some good waves. In return, he promised not to complain.
It seems to have all worked well, because now Ladies and Gents I leave you to the attention of His Royal Highness Jason Polakow, exploiting to the fullest his own backyard.
An infinite talent. Photo by Jimmie Hepp obviously.
PS: no I say Jason could have been missing from the 👑 repertoire of iSurf’s favorite athletes? 😉
